Day 14

After packing and eating a good breakfast, we started our 5 1/2 hour drive through northern Utah, into Idaho and then into Wyoming.  We drove through some beautiful open ranges with cattle and horses grazing across the 2 lane highways.  Not just that, but the constant beautiful scenery.
We pulled over to get a few good pictures and look what we saw in the river below.
Another view of the river.  We actually saw about 10 rafts come down river while we were standing there.
Driving through Grand Tetons for the first time.  I can't even describe how beautiful they are.
After pitching our tent at a campground between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, we went out exploring the many lakes of the area.  Jackson Dam was our first stop.  The lakes and rivers are quite high at this time of year which makes for some serious rushing water into the Snake River.
Playing down by the river.
Jackson Lake with the Tetons in the background.
Brad and I sat here with some snacks and the kids played in the rocks for at least 2 hours.  Even though it was rocky..it was the smoothest river rock I have every seen and the water was crystal clear.  One of the most peaceful places on earth!
