Weekend #2

My childhood best friend, Leslie came into town for a couple days. She and her husband live in Jacksonville, FL. She has not been able to see Carsyn due to her new job, so she took the opportunity to come with her husband Matthew while he had to do some work in Atlanta to visit. We had a great time, although stayed up way to late talking and laughing.

The kids and her made some yummy cookies! Leslie and I actually met when I was 2 and she was 1 1/2. We went to the same pre-school but never to the same school after that until freshman year in college when we were roommates. Then of course we were maid of honor/matron of honor in each others weddings. Even though many miles have separated us for much of our lives, we have always stayed as close as sisters!

Weekend #1

Not only was it a May weather weekend in Georgia, but Brad went skydiving for his 30th birthday. He had been saying that he wanted to go for a while, so I had the whole weekend planned. My parents came into town to watch the big event and then watch the kids while Brad and I went up to the Dillard House Chalet Village for a night getaway later that evening.

She's a beauty!

"The ridge" as we call it is a great place to capture sunrises and sunsets. It is a road that heads North from Atlanta all the way through Cumming, past our house and deeper into the mountains of North Georgia. You can see mountains on one side and mountains on the other. Not to mention some spectacular plantations. After the "snow storm" went through on Sunday, to which we had NO accumulation, we did however have a beautiful sunset. I could not resist taking these pictures. A note-I did NOT edit the color of these pictures.
