As for our little wings.....

Presidents, Peppers and More!

The kids spent all last week at their Gramma and Papa's house in South Carolina. They always have such a great time! Thanks Mom and Dad! You wore them out completely. They have never slept better! :) The kids spent most of the time at the pool, getting ice cream and riding their bikes. Meanwhile at home, Carsyn and I spent time getting projects done and hanging out. (What did I do when I only had 1 child?) Brenna got some new pool flip flops and here are her sweet feet. They didn't seem to bother her this way.

(A side note..excuse some of the pictures...the pictures you see on the blog are from my little, digital camera that doesn't always take the best pics. I sill love my 35 mm and my scanner is not hooked up to our computer.)
Anyways, after I went to pick the kids up, we went over to Educational Wonderland to get some "educational" stuff for the kids. Aidan is in the stage were he constantly has to be challenged, so he doesn't get bored. We picked up a new chore board, USA puzzle, and lots of other goodies. He is into learning the Presidents right now. I have to say, I am learning quite a bit as well!

(I know...not a good picture) It is our family pepper plant. Aidan planted it in school and here it is with its first pepper. He was pretty excited to see this when he got home.

As for Carsyn...she missed her brother and sister and all that wonderful noise they make around the house. She had her 2 month check up yesterday and weighs in at 11 lbs 12 oz and is 23 inches. Growing like a weed...umm no..growing like a pepper plant. HA!

We are busy with swimming lessons this week, but stay- tooned..they kids got a package from Aunt Jada today!

My parents came into town this weekend and for a Father's Day surprise, we took my dad and Brad to Six Flags over Georgia. We are such rollarcoaster buffs, and miss going to Cedar Point every summer. We had taken Aidan here when he was about 7 months old and thought it was time to go back. Although the clouds covered the sky most of the day, it was still quite warm. Carsyn was great and slept most of the day in the stroller. One person would watch her (and sometimes Brenna) and the rest would go jump up on the rides. Aidan rode more than anyone else. He is over most of the height requirements of 42 inches. Our little man even rode an upside down rollarcoaster. Wow, he was so brave!

Brenna getting ready to take off on her first "big girl" ride.

Aidan and "Gamma" in line for a ride.

Sweet Carsyn Joy sleeping in the stroller.

Aidan and Brenna first in line for an airplane ride.

After a long, fun filled, exhausting day, the kids fell asleep on the car ride home.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
What did you do for Father's Day?

Family

Brad's younger Mark and his wife Amanda and her children came into town on Monday. Mark is now stationed in California with the Airforce along with Amanda. We had a great time visiting and the kids always have so much fun playing with each other. We were able to spend lots of time at the pool and went to Moe's for dinner on Tuesday evening. Here is the gang on the porch swing. You can tell the bunch of them have been in the sun. The temp finally dropped under 90 degrees and it was a bit more comfortable. Hope you all had a great week.

Sweet smiles

Carsyn started smiling a couple weeks ago, but I have not been able to get it caught on camera. Finally, she and I were in the kitchen the other night by ourselves, and she was just talking up a storm. She loves to be in the kitchen while I am cooking. I have the radio on and she just looks at all the lights and what is going on around her. Here she is getting a little excited that I am talking to her. (She is now 7 weeks old)

The huge grin with a bit of a giggle!

Say cheese!

Many of you say that she looks like Brenna, but I think in this picture, she looks just like her brother!

Hope these pictures made you smile! She is such a joy! :)

My baby boy!

Aidan Bradley is 4 1/2 today. I can't believe how fast the time goes. Having a 7 week old and a 2 1/2 year old as well, you realize how fast the time really does go. I am going to blink and he will be graduating from high school. In the last few months, I have started to slow down and cherish these times a bit more than I did a few years ago. Some days I may struggle to get through the day (any mom can tell you that) but, we all have to remember that these days will soon pass. Some of these pictures are from last year, but just show his adorable smile with those dimples that will melt your heart.

Some things you may not know about Aidan....

1. He loves numbers. From the time he could line his cars across the
floor, he would be counting them and making sure everyone was there. He can count to 100 forward and than backwards. When we are driving in the car he tells us every number he sees. He has taught Brenna how to count to 10..."1, 2 3, 8, 9, 10, 13" she says. (ok, so she is not quite there yet)

2. He loves any kind of sport. Well, you probably could have guessed that coming from our families, but he would watch anything you put him in front and he would cheer on the one with the largest number in front of them. (except for golf)

3. He wants to be a teacher. Maybe because his daddy and Grandma are. If you ask him what he wants to do...he says that he wants to "teach and coach like Daddy."

4. He is a snuggle bug. That is what we call it in our house. From the time he was a baby..he is happiest when laying in your arms. Brad and I still love it!

5. His sister is his "best friend." He asked me the other day if he could marry Brenna. I told him that he could not marry his sister and his response was, "Why not Mommy, she is my best friend?"

6. He loves the water! Again, if you know our family you probably wouldn't be surprised. Thanks to my mom, he started swimming last summer on his own. He throws his goggles on, takes a running jump and off he goes.

7. He has an amazing determination and will! When he says he is going to do something, don't hold him back! Back in October, he told us that he didn't want his training wheels on his bike anymore. Brad and I were hesitant at first, but with in a day, he was riding a 2 wheeler up and down our street.

8. He loves music. Especially Rascal Flatts. He plays air guitar and air piano while in the car and hanging out at home.

We are so amazed by this little boy everyday! He is amazing blessing and we know that we are going to continue to learn from him as the years pass. We love you Aidan!
