The first week of summer break

I was worried looking forward to this week...a fear that the children would take over the house. We are always a "on the go" family and when our daily routine is changed by summer break, it can get a bit crazy finding things to entertain the kids with. However, this week, even though the weather has been threatening everyday...we have found lots of fun activities....

Our dear friends, Rodney and Heather have been blessed with this sweet little angel,
Kobe Davis after trying to have children for 5 years. The kids had so much fun seeing another little baby and had forgotten that Carsyn was that little one year ago. We are so excited on the Moore's new family adventure!

"Lake Lanier is back" is what the newspaper read on Sunday. With the lake levels being extremely low last summer, we were not able to go out on the lake and go boating. We were so excited to be able to go out with our friends Kathy and Scott. They do not have kids, but I guess our babies are enough....at least for now.

Carsyn LOVED the boat...not so much the life jacket..who could blame her...those infant jackets are awful...she had fun anyways.
Aidan driving the boat...

I love this picture of Brad after he went skiing..I think that he just remarked that he would not be able to move the next day.

The last time I was able to ski was when I was pregnant with Brenna. Yes, some may have called me CRAZY..(I am talking to you Ashley) but I have been water skiing my whole life and I tryed not to be to tricky. Anyways, it has been nearly 4 years and so I decided to play it safe. The water was a bit cold for my taste, so I wore a wet suit. I also realized that after have 3 babies, you just don't have the muscle you once did. O well! It was still fun!
Aidan and Brenna enjoying themselves.

Aidan, Brenna and Brad tubing. Brenna only fell off once....no really she did fall off, but she is fine! She got right back on and tryed again. (For those of you that go tubing, you will know that if you don't lean back when the boat takes off, you will get a wall of water wash over you. That is what happened and sweet little Brenna flipped over Brad's head.)

Taking a break from the action, Carsyn was able to get out of her life jacket and have a snack...while doing some sun bathing.

The storm is moving in quickly...we got back just in time.

We are on to another week...wish me luck!

Shake your silly's out.....

With the end of school in sight at the end of the week (Brenna finished last week) comes lots of activities that are always going on.....and some hyper children. I am sure we are not the only family that is happy when Memorial Day comes because, that means vacation and pool time! So one of Brenna's favorite songs to sing is "Shake your silly's out" and we had plenty of things to do these past couple weeks to help shake all those silly's out the kids...

We had our gymnastics banquet at a house on Lake Lanier. Cailen's grandparents were gracious enough to let us use the fabulous house which also hosts the Lake Lanier Ski school. Here are Julie and I and our graduating seniors.
Here are our 3 amazing blessings on Mother's Day!
Brenna had her first dance recital at a butterfly princess. She did awesome. We are so proud of her. When we first got there, I think she was a bit nervous...you can tell from the picture. Seeing all the other girls dressed up and lots of people taking pictures.
Tap time....

Last but not least was Aidan and Brenna's gymnastics jubilee. Aidan loves being on the boys team. Now he can focus on boys events. As long as he is having fun, we will keep going. The pictures are a bit dark..you can't use flash photography inside the gym.

Brenna's turn....

Carsyn had to get in on the action. It is hard to believe, but she will start gymnastics in August. When we got home she wore "her" medals around her neck the rest of the evening along with her new leo.

Have a great week. Don't forget to "shake your silly's out!"

Spring time fun and visitors

My dear friend Leslie was in town for a conference this past week, so the girls and I had to meet up with her for lunch. We always try to take advantage of even those short times we can see each other and catch up.

Aidan and Brenna were invited to their friend Sydney's 5th birthday party. It was at a horse farm in Cumming. The kids had a blast riding the horses. They were even decorated just for the party. Carsyn was all pumped about seeing the "doggies" as she calls them. (Everything walking on 4 legs is a dog to her right now.)

After the party, the kids and I drove to SC to my parents to visit an old friend of ours in town from Texas for a few weeks for business. My mom use to watch Christine and her 2 brothers everyday when they were little. Christine was as young as Brenna when she first started coming to our house. It has been about 6 years since I saw her and it was great to catch up. We were a bit tired after staying up until 1 am talking and laughing. My brother was also able to come over for dinner and visit together. We hope to see her again soon!
I had to throw in this sweet shot of Aidan and Carsyn walking down the sidewalk at my parents house. She loves to walk everywhere.
Have a wonderful week!

My team

Many of you know that I have been coaching the Central high school gymnastics team for the last 5 years. I have just never posted about them yet and thought I would show you a group of girls I am so proud of and so proud to coach! They had a great year against many odds (including some major injuries) and even though we are graduating 4 girls, we have a young team that has so much potential and drive. It makes it so much fun to coach a team that wants to learn and wants to improve. Here are a few pictures from the season.
Congrats to Sarah, who made it to state on floor, even with a sprained ankle.

Julie and Mary are two of the other coaches I am blessed to coach with along with Laurie who is our school rep from Central. I thank them for letting me be apart of this!
