June Meal Plan

We are going to be gone 2 weeks out of June, so I decided to do pantry dinners.  If you know me well, I love to stock up on frequently used items and deep freeze most things.  If I get stuck with a recipe idea, I just type the item I had into allrecipes.com and it comes up with recipe ideas.  The only thing I need to buy at the store is stuff for vacation, milk, fruits and veggies.  We will end up saving lots of money.  Who would have thought...vacation=saving money on groceries.  Have a great month!

Birthday girl

Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet Carsyn Joy!  Trying to make time to sit down and give her the yearly interview in nearly impossible for her.  I asked her several times if she would like to answer some questions and she told me she was just to busy.  She isn't wrong, she is trying to keep up with her brother and sister.  She really doesn't TRY to keep up with them, she keeps up with them.  We get asked frequently how old she is and when we tell them, they are shocked by what a "go getter" she is.  You could see that when she was 7 months old and starting to walk.  We should have known then!  Carsyn is what we like to call in our house the "peacemaker."  She doesn't like anyone to be unhappy or fighting.  She is always quick to ask me when she gets into the car after school if I had a great morning.  One day a few weeks back, I was having some gym issues and she knew what was going on and she asked me, "How does that make you feel mommy?"  "What did you just say, I asked?"  She asked me again and I was in shock, but I told her how it made me feel.  She makes her daddy and I smile everyday.  We love this girl!  When she finally had "time" to sit down with me to answer some questions, this is how it went....

(the only thing she has been asking for, for months is a scooter like A and B's.)

Mommy (M)- What is your favorite color?

Carsyn (C)- green and pink
M-What is your favorite food?
C-Mac and cheese (not surprising since it always has been) and pizza
M-What is your favorite song?
C- Jesus loves me and God you are strong (I will try to post her singing this at some point. ADORABLE)
M-What would you like to be when you grown up?
C-A princess.
M-What is your favorite thing to do at school?
C-Playing on the jumpy and coloring.
M-What is your least favorite thing to do at school?
C-Play outside when it is raining.
M-You don't play outside when it is raining!
C-I know, that is why I like the jumpy, because that is inside.
M-Who is your best friend?
C-Mary Gail (she is her great friend from school and gymnastics)

(she requested brownie sundae for her birthday desert)

M-What is your favorite thing to do with your brother?
C-Play football.  (she really just watches him play or becomes a target)
M-What about Bren?
C-Play barbies and babies.

M-What is your favorite thing to do at church?
C-Color and singing.
M-What makes you happy?
C-Mommy.  (Now, how sweet is that?)

M-What do you love to do with daddy?
C-Snuggle.  (she is not wrong here..the girl can't get enough)
M-What about me?
C-I like to snuggle with you too mommy, just with Daddy better.
M-What don't you like to do?
C-Sit down!  (That is so true!)
M-If you could be a dog or a cat, what would you be?
C-A dog, because I like dogs.
M-What are you looking foward to most about being 4?
C-Going to big girl school.  (We just found out last week that she got into the same incredible program the other two got into at age 4 and the best part it that we don't pay for it!)

I have no doubts in the world that this girl is going to do some amazing things in her life.  She truly lights up a room when she walks into it.  We are so proud of the "big girl" she is becoming and how independent she is.  Gone are the babies in the Kudlas house!  What a blessing she is in our lives!

A .10 of an update

Because I have been so busy, I thought there was no way I could update you with everything that is going on with us. This is about .10 of what has gone on with us the last few months, so I will give you a top 10 (on the 10th of the month). Aidan would be so proud of me for using math. He can't get enough of that subject. I think he likes it so much, because I can't stand it.

So here it goes.

1. Spring is here...wait it is summer...nope just spring. My azaleas have never been so pretty. They were just pretty REALLY early! We have had some crazy temp changes, but I think that has been consistent in the entire country. We are now preparing for the last 25 days of school.

2. Spring break consisted of the kids going to Papa and Grammie's in South Carolina and Brad and I working our butts off in the yard. I don't know why we do this every year and every year we say we won't do this again and that we will relax on our spring break, but we don't. We laid 1500 square feet of sod, 10 yds of mulch and all that went with preparing for that. I couldn't even move my fingers by the end of the week. Ouch! I will say that everything looks great! We did get to go to the lake to meet my parents and the kiddos at the end of the week.

3. When did my kids get so big?

4. I love to take spring pictures!

5. See...we did get some rest time on spring break!

6. Even though this picture is blurry..my season is in full swing. This is at our season opening meet. You can see me and the other coach Julie in the background. This is our one and only senior Autumn who ended her season with an ACL and MCL tare in her knee. After a season full of injuries, we have our regional meet to close out the season this saturday in Atlanta.

7. Brad had an awesome 11th basketball season. His JV team finished 2nd in the region with only 4 losses. The Varsity team went on to the sweet 16, breaking a school record and holding the first round of the state tournament at the school.

8. Speaking of awesome basketball seasons...Aidan's team went undefeated in the regular season and won the post season tournament. Daddy even helped coach!

9. Aidan also had an awesome gymnastics season as a 2nd year level 4. Next year he moves onto level 5. We are so proud of how hard he worked and continues to work.

10. Brenna and her Jr. Gymnastics team have had a wonderful, busy season. They were able to perform at Auburn (where this picture took place) vs. Alabama, at University of GA vs. UCLA, 4 different elementary school and a soon to be fun meet for upcoming level 2's. It has been so much fun to help coach this group of 19 6 and 7 year olds. Brenna has working so hard at gaining so many new skills this year. She will continue to work hard during the summer to try out for the level 2 team in the fall.

Be looking for a birthday girl who is turning 4 soon!
