3 little fishies...

My 3 little fishies (I will call them A, B, and C) are hard at work....
We are about 1/2 way through the swim season and their goggle eyes and tan lines prove it.

My "A" little fish is shaving seconds off his time every time he gets in the pool. He swam a 50 yard free in 45 seconds today and got 2nd overall vs. 25 7/8 year old boys. He swam at 25 yard free in 19:04 and placed second overall vs. 46 7/8 year olds. I guess swimming 70 laps a day at practice is helping.

My "B" little fish is not only amazing her mommy and daddy, but her coaches as well. When I pick her up from practice everyday, she has gone farther and learned more in that one hour! She hasn't looked back after placing 1st in her first race. She is working so hard, "B" is eating like a horse and sleeping like a rock. She is looking forward to racing her brother soon!

My "C" fish is my cheerleader fish. She has gone to every practice and every meet to watch her brother and sister to cheer them on. The coaches can't wait for "C" to show her stuff in a couple years. As for now, she is learning to blow bubbles.

I love this picture of Coach Stephanie, with Brad and "C" fish as "B" finishes her first race.

Yeah!

Ready, set, GO!

The Gorge

For the nearly 10 years we have lived in Georgia, Tallulah Gorge is one place I have always wanted to hike. It is located in the Northeast corner of Georgia. Not far from the North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina boarder. It is not for the casual walker or hiker. It has some serious stairs and trails. A good practice hike would be Amicalola Falls. We chose Memorial Day weekend to drive up and meet my parents who came in from South Carolina. Let's just say it was a bit HOT that day! Our kiddos are ready to head out west. This was quite a hiking journey for all of us...but so worth it!

Believe it or not, this is not where Carsyn spent all her time. She was awesome about hiking in the 90 plus heat!

One of the top over looks.

The hikers themselves.

One of the magnificent views.

Another view.

The suspension bridge we had to cross while heading down into the gorge.

One of the many falls. This one is called bridal veil falls.

After descending over 500 stairs. Now time to head back up. You actually have to get a permit to hike the floor of the gorge. You also have to be much older and be one of the first 50 people of the day to receive a permit.

We packed a nice picnic lunch to have and then went out to dinner a local restaurant near by. I can't wait to visit this fall!

Happy Birthday

My mother-in-law would have been 63 today. She is having a better birthday party where she is now, than what she would be having is she was here. Even though I never got to meet her, we see her everywhere. We know that she is smiling from heaven, especially when she sees her 8 grandchildren!
